'UPA is pro-American and anti-people'
New Delhi, Jul 14: The four Left parties - CPI-M, CPI, RSP and Forward Bloc -- will from Monday, July 14 launch a nationwide campaign against the UPA Government's policies, especially its move to go ahead on the Indo-US nuclear deal.
Top Left leaders will address a meeting where they will cite the UPA government's drawbacks and failures during the past four-year rule. "We will explain to people the reasons for withdrawing our support. We will also explain the UPA's pro-American and anti-people policies which are resulting in price rise and other problems," said CPI (M) General Secretary Prakash Karat. CPI National Secretary D Raja said that the Left campaign would not centre around only on the issue of nuclear deal, but on inflation, price rise and mismanagement of economy.
