Gold, silver up on bullish global advice
Mumbai, Jul 14; Value of Gold and silver resumed higher on Monday July 14, as silver increased by Rs 35 per kg, opened at Rs 25,660 and Gold by Rs 20 per ten gm, opened at Rs 13,345, on renewed buying support from ornament makers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
In the international market also both the precious metals maintained upward march as gold rose to USD 964.85/965.85 an ounce from USD 963.00/965.00 late in New York, while silver also inched up to USD 18.77/18.83 an ounce from USD 18.76/18.84 late in New York. Gold extended its gains today, close to its highest level, registered last week, on record-high oil, but a rebound in the dollar could limit the upsurge.
Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 25,660 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 13,345 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,410.
