AP announces new Human Resources policy

Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) Conceding the major demand of the members of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) implementing the 'Indira Kranthi Patham', Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced a comprehensive new Human Resources policy, providing for an additional benefit of Rs 1.47 crore per annum to them.

As many as 6446 emplooyes recruited by the SERP would be benefitted by the 10 per cent hike in their pay.

The cumulative financial burden would be about Rs 72 crore per annum, official sources said.

While annual increment at the rate of six per cent of gross remuneration would be provided with retrospective effect from January one, 2008, allowances would be paid with retrospective effect from April one, 2008.

The lowest level employee would get a minimum wage of Rs 3900 under the new policy, they added.
