AI flight cancelled: hit by technical snag

Kochi, July 14 (UNI) An Air India flight was grounded and later cancelled, after the aircraft developed a technical snag, at the International Airport here today.

According to airport sources, 183 passengers of the Damam-bound aircraft turned furious and shouted at the airline staff.

However, the airline arranged an alternate flight, which would depart by 2330 hrs. The passengers were lodged in nearby hotels.

The grounded aircraft would be operational by tomorrow morning, the sources added.
