5 attempt suicide in UP district

Pratapgarh, Jul 14: Peeved over separate reasons, five persons attempted an end to their life in the last 24 hrs in this Uttar Pradesh district.

The quintet -- including Dharamraj (18), Asha Devi (30), Tej Bahadur (27), Girdhara Lal (25) and Jagat Singh (30) -- have been admitted to district hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered against them, police added.
