Weak monsoon condition prevails in Karnataka

Bangalore, Jul 13(UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over the State. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bhatkal, Sirsi, Subramanya Agumbe, Kottigehara 2 each; Bajpe, Dharmasthala, Kota, Gerusoppa, Banavasi, Ankola 1 each.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka, at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka Shimoga, Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
