Scrap godown gutted in fire

Nashik, Jul 12: Fire broke out today at a depot near Ambad suburb of the city.

According to sources, a huge fire broke out at a scrap godown situated on Ambad-Satpur link road this evening. As many as 12 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flame.

Though the exact reason of the fire could not be ascertained, the whole godown burnt to ashes in the fire causing loss of lakhs of rupees.

Load-shedding and water scarcity added to the difficulties in dousing the fire, which took nearly three hours.
