Rhys Ifans to split from his rock band

London, July 13 : Welsh actor Rhys Ifans is headed for another split, but this time it is from his rock band The Peth.

The 39-year-old actor and his band members are set to go their separate ways, after he pouring his heart out at the band's gig this week at Hoxton Bar and Grill in London.

"We're breaking up because there's too many of us," News of the World quoted Ifans as saying.

"We had a great gig this week, but it's just not working out," he said.

Ifans was seen wearing black jeans and a baseball hat as he performed in front of a packed crowd with supermodel pal Kate Moss looking on.

The Peth - which means The Thing in Welsh - played their first ever gig earlier this week in North Wales, but now the writing is already on the wall.
