Mercury dips further; respite for Delhiites

New Delhi, Jul 13 (UNI) Heavy rains that lashed the capital yesterday were followed by a further drop in temperature today.

The pleasant weather brought some relief for Delhiites from the sultry weather that the city has been experiencing over the week.

According to the weather department, a heavily overcast sky since last night brought down the maximum temperature to 32.5 degrees Celsius today against 33.6 degrees Celsius yesterday.

The minimum was recorded at 24.8 degrees. However, humidity showed an upward trend with the maximum and minimum ranging between 98 and 84 per cent respectively.

More relief could be expected tomorrow with the weatherman forecasting more spells of rain and thundershowers in the city during the next 48 hours.
