Jaipal Reddy out early LS polls

Visakhapatnam, Jul 13: Ruling out early general elections, Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy said the UPA Government at the Centre would have a comfortable majority when the trust vote comes up for debate in the Lok Sabha on July 22.

Speaking to the media here yesterday, Mr Reddy dimissed any threat to the Government over the Indo-US Civilian Nuclear Deal due to withdrawl of the Left Parties' support to it.

He also announced the Ministry of Defence will soon take over Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) paving its way for making into a profit-making company.

Mr Reddy said a formal decision to bring the HSL under the administrative control of Defence Ministry would be announced soon.
