Foreign made heroin worth Rs one cr seized, 2 held

Gorakhpur, July 13 (UNI) Police today arrested two notorious criminals and seized half kilogram Thailand made heroin, estimated at Rs one crore in the international market, in the Sehjanva area here.

On a tip-off, cops laid a trap and nabbed Guddu and Akhilesh Singh, Superintendent of Police (city) Ramesh Prasad said.

On frisking the duo, police seized the illegal subtsance, a pistol and some live cartridges.

Guddu was facing charges in almost 20 murder, loot and chain snatching cases in Gorakhpur and Maharajganj districts, the SP added.
