CPI(M) condemns Lankan Navy firing

Chennai, July 13 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today strongly condemned yesterday's ''killing'' of two Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Lankan Navy.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the Party's district Secretaries' meeting held at Dindugul, a CPI(M) release said.

Expressing anguish over the killings, the CPI (M) urged the Centre to take urgent steps to prevent such incidents, which had increased in recent times.
