Bus-minitruck collision kills ten in Uttarakhand
Hardwar, Jul 13 (UNI) Ten people were killed and 32 injured when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a bus near Manglaur on National Highway, 10 km from Roorkee, early today.
Police sources said the mini-truck, in which the people were travelling from Hardwar to Muzaffarnagar, collided with an oncoming bus of Uttarakhand depot.
The accident occurred around 0400 hrs, they said.
Three seriously injured were referred to Jolly Grant hospital in Dehra Dun, while the rest have been admitted to Roorkee civil hospital, they said.
The deceased were identified as Sumer Chand (60), Ratan Lal (55), Hari Krishna (55), Omvir (30), Mahendra (55), Vipin (20), Tejpal (17), Fuli (35) and Vinod (18), with the identity of one victim was yet to be established, they added.
