Priest arrested for committing rape in J

Jammu, Jul 12 (UNI) A priest was arrested by the police for allegedly committing rape on a woman in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

''The 26-year old victim revealed that the priest assured her that she would deliver a male baby with his blessings but yesterday when she(victim) visited the temple in remote village Kheora of tehsil Darhal, the priest identified as Tara Chand raped her,'' the police sources said.

However, the locals on hearing about the incident caught the priest and handed him over to the police while a case has been registered against him.
