PGCIL to set up subsidiary for independent power system ops

New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd today said it will set up a subsidiary for operating its independent power system.

''The Board of Directors have granted in-principle approval to the setting up a wholly-owned subsidiary company responsible for independent power system operation,'' a company statement said.

This is in line with the advice of the government on the arrangement of the operation of national and regional load dispatch centres, it added.
