Natwar's son joins BSP along with supporters
Jaipur, Jul 12 (UNI) Former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh's legislator son Jagat Singh today joined the Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) and indicated that his father would follow him soon.
Mr Singh joined the party at a simple ceremony at the BSP state headquarters here along with several supporters including Bharatpur Zila Pramukh Rajbir Singh and a number of panchs and sarpanchs. Party General Secretary and state unit in-charge Dharmvir Ashok and state office bearers were also present.
Immediately after his entry in the party Mr Singh was appointed party state Vice President.
Talking to reporters, Mr Singh and Mr Ashok said the former External Minister would also join the party at an appropriate time.
Mr Jagat Singh had won last Assembly election in the state from Laxmangarh Assembly segment in Alwar district on a Congress ticket.
Later, he was expelled from the Congress in the aftermath of political events following his father's expulsion in the wake of ''oil-for-food'' scam.
