Miscreants make away with travel company's car

Nashik, July 12 (UNI) Five unidentified miscreants made away with the car of a Mumbai-based travel company after beating up the driver and divesting him of Rs 700 in cash on the Sinnar-Shirdi road late last night.

The five had booked the car from the company for a tour of Shirdi, police said.

The car started on its journey last afternoon, police said. When the car reached Meargaon Phata on the Sinnar-Shirdi road, the five attacked the driver, bound his limbs, removed Rs 700 from his person as well as a mobile phone and a gold ring, and then threw him out of the car.They then made good their escape.

The driver, Subhash Jeevraj Bhansali (28) from Chembur in Mumbai, managed to free himself and has lodged a complaint with the police.
