Govind Singh Gurjar to be new Puducherry Lt Governor

Jaipur July 12 (UNI) Senior Congress leader Govind Singh Gurjar will be appointed Lt Governor of Puducherry, official sources from the Congress said here today .

The Sources said Mr Gurjar's name had been forwarded to the Rashtrapati Bhawan by the Home Ministry and the warrants of his appointment were likely to be issued in a day or to.

Mr Gurjar comfirmed his appointment and told UNI that he had been conveyed formally by New Delhi about the move of his appointment .

He siad'' I am looking forward for my positive and meaning full role in my new assignment '' Mr Gurjar , a sitting MLA from Nasirabad assembly segment in Ajmer district , will be the fifth incumbent from Rajasthan to be appointed to the gubernatorial post. Presently, Mr Nawal Kishore Sharma is working as governor in Gujarat , Mr Balram Jakhar in Madhya Pradesh , Mr B L Joshi in Uttarakhand and Mr Shiv Charan Mathur in Assom .
