Cong-NCP to exchange second preference votes for Marathwada election
Beed, Maharashtra, July 12 (UNI) The Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today agreed to exchange second preference votes with each other for the Marathwada region graduates constituency election, to be held on July 15.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, while speaking to mediapersons here, said, ''Common man is confused, as we are in alliance in the state but fighting at local levels, so we decided to take this step.'' In the Marathwada constituency, Satish Chavan is the NCP candidate, while Jaggannath Patil is contesting from Congress, alongwith 24 other candidates in fray.
