Christie Brinkley vows never to marry again

Washington, July 12 : After reaching an abrupt settlement in her high-profile divorce case against estranged hubby, American supermodel Christie Brinkley has pledged never to remarry.

On 10 July, the former couple had announced that it had reached an agreement.

Brinkley insists that her relationship meltdown has forced her to reconsider the prospect of ever walking down the aisle again.

"I'm not going to marry again. I know too much about the marriage laws and divorce laws. Getting married again would not be a very intelligent thing to do," Contactmusic quoted her, as telling the New York Post.

"I was fighting for my family. I think when you're fighting for your family's well-being, almost anything you have to go through is worth it," she added.

Brinkley has been awarded sole custody and final parental decision-making power of the couple's children - Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10.

Over the course of the trial, testimony included revelations of Cook's affair with teenager Diana Bianchi and his alleged 3,000 dollars monthly porn habit.
