Centre under US pressure over nuclear deal: Mehta
Bokaro, Jul 12 (UNI) CPI(M) state secretary and Hazaribagh MP Bhuvneshwar Mehta today said the Nuke deal with the US would deprive the country of making nuclear weapons in future.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Mehta said the Union government was working under US prerssure on this issue.
'' The US was treating India like Iraq and people here will face the same situation after the deal is inked, '' Mr Mehta opined.
Referring to inflation, Mr Mehta said the Centre should have been more concerned over rising prices of essentials rather than the deal.
'' The Centre has raised the nuclear issue just to divert people's attention from prise rise, '' Mr Mehta added.
