Carla Bruni 'hurt' by of criticism of new album
Washington, July 12 : French first lady Carla Bruni is hurt by the criticism of her new album.
In the new album Bruni croons about her love for husband President Nicolas Sarkozy, previous lovers and cocaine.
The album received bland response from media and public in France, with newspaper Liberation's website calling it a "pale copy of her first record".
The 40-year-old former model is devastated with the frosty response to her third album.
"Of course it hurts me, but I also find it quite natural," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"It's understandable that people can't help mixing up my work as an artist and my function. Maybe they feel offended by the fact the head of state's wife should make a record," she added.
