Madhya Pradesh: 2 convicted in heroin case

Ratlam(MP), Jul 12: A special court has sentenced two people to ten years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh or, in default, to undergo imprisonment for another year for smuggling heroin.

Special Judge P S Patidar issued the judgement yesterday.

According to the prosecution, on a tip-off Khushal Singh of Dodri village and Balwant Singh of Kotdi village were caught near the Chambal river at Jaora on April 11, 2005 while carrying 1.60 Kg heroin on a motorcycle.
