2 Constables jailed in Madhya Pradesh

Khargone(MP), Jul 12: Two police constables attached with the Chainpur police station in this district of Madhya Pradesh were arrested, suspended and remanded to jail yesterday after they were found to have threatened a tribal youth to frame him in false cases.

The tribal youth Gorelal of Putla village had committed suicide on July 2 following the threat by Constables Dinesh Kadam and Mahendra Bhadoria, Additional Superintendent of Police R D Khare said.

Inquiry into the suicide revealed that a woman Maidabai of the village had lodged a complaint that Gorelal under the influence of liquor used to tease her.

Gorelal's father Bagri told the police that the two constables along with two villagers Chhaggan and Babban Banjara reached their house and threatened to frame Gorelal on rape charge. Following this threat, Gorelal committed suicide.
