Woman kills husband, chops body into pieces
Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, Jul 11 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a woman murdered her husband with the assistance of her paramour, chopped the body into several pieces and buried a portion of it in the kitchen, at Mandapam here.
Police sources said S Kalanchiya Rani (31), a mother of three, developed intimancy with her neighbour.
When the affair came to light, her husband K Saravanan (36), a fisherman, warned her against continuing with the relationship.
Fearing her husband would be a hindrance to the illicit affair, Kalanchiya Rani, with the help of her paramour, strangulated him when he was in an inebriated condition on April 26.
The body was chopped into several pieces and a portion buried in the kitchen. The remaining portion of the body was disposed by the paramour in an unknown area.
When the relatives of Saravanan asked about his sudden disappearance, the woman told them he had gone to neighbouring district in search of employment. Later, she vacated the house.
The house had been locked since. Last evening, the house owner went into the portion to clean the premises for a new tenant when he found blood stains in the kitchen and a foul smell emanating from the ground and lodged a complaint with the police.
Based on the complaint, a police team dug up the ground and exhumed a highly decomposed part of skull, left forearm and a tuft of hair today.
The woman was immediately arrested and a search is on to nab her paramour. Further investigations were on, police added.
