South Eastern Railway cancels certain trains
Panaji, July 11 (UNI) The South Eastern Railway (SER) has cancelled five trains and diverted another train following breaches between Kharagpur-Bhadrak section, according to official sources here today.
The worst hit was Howrah-Vasco-Howrah Express pair (87047&8048), which had not been running since June 19 following the breaches, causing untold miseries to the passengers.
The authorities had cancelled the train till July 20, adding to the miseries of the passengers travelling from the west coast to the east.
The public severely criticised the railway authorities for cancelling the train, as there is no other train from Vasco to Howrah and back, which runs only four days in a week.
The people demanded the authorities to run the train from Vasco to Bhubhaneswar or Visakhapatnam at least till the track was repaired in Howrah division.
