Situation under control in North Bangalore
Bangalore, Jul 11: Tension gripped Hebbal and near by areas on Friday, July 11, afternoon, thanks to the miscreants belonging to a community who pelted stones on a place of worship. As the news spread people belonging to the other community reacted wildly and started pelting stones, blocking roads and burning tires . Police opened fire in the air to dispel the mob.
Police commissioner of Bangalore, Shankara Bidari, visited the troubled areas to monitor law and order situation. Roshan Beg, MLA Shivajinagar visited the spot and pacified the warring groups. Prohibitory orders were declared in Hebbal, J.C Nagar and near by areas for next three days. According to the police head quarters, no casualty reported and the situation is under control.
