Senior scribe killed in road accident in UP
Lucknow, Jul 11 (UNI) Three people, including senior journalist Ved Prakash Chauhan, were killed and four other scribes were injured when their car dashed against a roadside tree near Latbazar under Jiyanpur police station today.
The accident occured on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway in which Chauhan, senior journalist of Amarujala newspaper published from Gorakhpur, press photographer Kamal Yadav and driver of the car died on the spot.
According to police, P P Sahi, Vivek Pandey, Mukesh Pandey and Yogeshwar Singh, all journalists from Gorakhpur, were admitted to hospital with injuries.
The scribes were returning to Gorakhpur after attending a marriage ceremony at Varanasi.
