Senior scribe among 3 killed in accident, UP CM expresses grief
Lucknow, Jul 11 (UNI) Three people, including senior journalist Komal Yadav, were killed and four others injured when their car dashed against a truck under Jiyanpur police station limits in Azamgarh district today.
The accident took place near Lal Ghat on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway, in which Yadav, a senior journalist of Amar Ujala newspaper published from Gorakhpur, press photographer Ved Prakash Chauhan and car chauffeur succumbed died on the spot.
According to police, the injured including T P Sahi, Mukesh Pandey, Dinesh Pandey and Yogeshwar Singh, all journalists from Gorakhpur, were recuperating at hospital.
They en route to Gorakhpur after attending a nuptial ceremony in Varanasi when the incident occurred .
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has expressed profound grief over their demise and conveyed her heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families, besides directing the Gorakhpur district administration to provide proper medical facilties to the injured.
