Rajasthan Governor hails nuke deal
Jodhpur Jul 10: Rajasthan Governor S K Singh has said the Indo-US nuclear deal is in the progress of the country and those opposing it are unable to understand its importance.
Speaking at Kaptan Durga Prasad Chaudhry Memorial Journalism Award ceremony here, Mr Singh said the deal would enable the country to achieve further perfection in the field of energy and procure fuels from other countries.
''I do not want to indulge in political statement over the issue but want to say that every one in the country is well aware of the need and importance of the deal,'' Mr Singh said.
The Governor also presented award to Jitendra Khandelwal of Danik Navjoyti(Jodhpur). The award carries a cash prize of Rs 31,000 and a citation.
The Governor felicitated seven other scribes also for their contribution to the field of Journalism.
