NCEUS to continue its work on Unorganised Sector
New Delhi, Jul 11 (UNI) The National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector, (NCEUS) has submitted six reports on the state of affairs in the 450 million strong unorganised sector contributing 90 per cent of India's workforce.
According to an official release issued here today, it reports on social security, conditions of work and financing of micro enterprises and states, that these have been received well by the Government and the stakeholders and its recommendations on social security are before Parliament in the shape of the Bill.
The National Commission has been given an extension now the March 31st, 2009 in order to enable it to complete its ongoing work on Labour reforms and unemployment insurance scheme, special programme on small and marginal farmers, skill development and employment generation apart from sector specific studies.
