Inquiry ordered into irregularities in temple land
Ujjain, MP, Jul 11 (UNI) The Ujjain Divisional Commissioner has issued directions to conduct on inquiry into irregularities into the land belonging to about 100 temples and returning land to temples.

At a Collector conference organised here yesterday, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner S K Vashishtha directed deposit revenue being generated from temples into temple accounts and resolving irregularities pertaining to land.
Official sources said about 100 cases related to land of temples are pending. These include 69 from Ratlam, 26 from Shajapur and five from Ujjain. About 341 hectare land has been returned to 322 temples in Shajapur district, while 14 hectare has been returned to 14 temples in Dewas.
