Edelweiss Capital Q1 net dips to Rs 6.78 cr

New Delhi, Jul 11 (UNI) Edelweiss Capital Ltd today said its net perofit has decreased to Rs 6.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 7.54 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

Total income has, however, increased 84.52 per cent to Rs 56.63 crore for Q1 FY08 from Rs 30.69 crore for the same period last fiscal.

The Group posted a net profit of Rs 63.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 41.93 crore for the same quarter a year ago, registering an increase of 52.11 per cent.

The Group's total income rose 87.09 per cent to Rs 268.93 crore for Q1 FY08 from Rs 143.74 crore for the same quarter a year earlier.
