Court orders further investigation into land deal

Kochi, Jul 11 (UNI) The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Ernakulam today returned the investigative report and ordered further investigation into the Rajakumari land deal case, in which former minister T U Kuruvilla and his family members were accused.

Chief Judicial Magistrate S Soman returned the investigative report in which the former minister and his family members were given a clean chit.

The court also directed the police to further investigate the case taking into consideration objections filed by KGA Estate Manegement Private Limited Managing Director K G Abraham.

Mr Abraham challenged the report filed by the police last month requesting to reject the case on the grounds that proper investigation by verification of documents was not done.

The allegation against the former minister was that Kuruvilla and his family members had conspired to cheat Mr Abraham by offering around 50 acres of land, for which they received Rs 6.75 crore and had no marketable title, at Rajakumari village in Idukki district.
