Cabinet nods to CBI probe on pastor death

Aizawl, Jul 11(UNI) The Zoramthanga Cabinet has agreed to call in the CBI in Mizoram to probe the death of the Reverend Chanchinmawia.

The Cabinet decision came after widespread doubt on the state police Special Investigation Team (SIT)'s conclusion that the death was a case of suicide.

The Cabinet meeting was concluded on Thursday evening.

The Presbyterian pastor and president of the Mizoram Presbyterian Synod-sponsored Mizoram People's Forum was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his pastor quarters at Khatla here in October 2007.
