Animals' skin worth Rs 50 lakh seized, 2 held
Siddharthnagar, July 11 (UNI) Police today said they have seized 400 animals' skins worth Rs 50 lakh and sent to jail two smugglers in this regard.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Basti range, K K Tripathi told UNI that the seizure was made late last night during vehicle checking drive in Basti district.
A truck and a trolley, in which the costly skins were laden, have been taken into custody, the cop added.
