Zafar appointed Spl secretary to Governor

Srinagar, Jul 10 (UNI) Mr Zaffar Ahmad Bhat Special Secretary in the Chief Minister's Secretariat holding additional charge as Director Information, has been appointed Special Secretary to Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra with immediate effect, an official order here said.

The order, first after Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned along with his council of ministers, said that Mr Khalid Bashir will be the Director of Information.

Meanwhile, a circular was issued today to all administrative secretaries directing them not to issue orders concerning policy decisions and transfers and postings of officers unless shown to the Chief Secretary.

Orders, if any, issued in this behalf with effect from July 7, 2008 shall be submitted to the Chief Secretary for perusal.

Mr Azad resigned following withdrawal of support to his ministry on the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board land issue.
