Two pilgrims killed, 10 injured in road accident
Phagwara, Jul 10 (UNI) Two pilgrims were killed while ten others sustained injuries when a truck overturned near Behram toll plaza on Pahgwara-Banga road last night, police today stated.
The pilgrims in the truck were on their way to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the driver lost control over the vehicle while trying to avert hitting a cow.
The deceased were identified as Jasbir Singh of Bhooma Kalan and Harjit Singh of Libra village.
The injured identified as Sahib Singh, Karnail Singh, Parminder Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Paramjit Singh, Harmeil Singh, Tersem Singh, Mittar Singh and Jatinder Singh were admitted in private hospitals here.
