RIL ranked 206 in Global Fortune 500 in sales

Mumbai, Jul 10 (UNI) The Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is ranked 206 among the global fortune 500, up from 269 in the previous rankings.

The Company in a release said, based on profits it had been ranked 103 and on assets 273rd.

Reliance continues to be amongst the fastest climbers (this time it is fastest 30) at rank number 23 and was ranked 46th among the top 50 companies based on return on assets.

RIL also ranked amongst the biggest increase in revenues list (50 companies) at rank number 30.

Amongst the Petroleum Refining Companies, RIL is ranked 23 out of 39 companies featured in the 500 list. US continues to have the largest presence with 153 companies (but down from 169 in the last years list). China has 29 companies in the list. The top 10 companies were Walmart, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Toyota, Chevron, ING, total, GM and ConocoPhilips.
