Modi on a day's visit to Chennai, to attend private function
Chennai, Jul 10 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will pay a day's visit to Chennai tomorrow.
Police sources told UNI here today that Mr Modi would arrive here by 1615 hrs by special flight from Ahmedabad. He is expected to leave Ahmedabad at 2200 hrs.
After a brief stay at a hotel, he would attend a function at the D G Vaishnav College at suburban Arumbakkam, organised by 'Gujarati Sangham'.
However, BJP sources did not attach any political significance to his visit and described it as a strictly ''private and personal'' tour.
Police have made elaborate security arrangements in view of Mr Modi's visit. Mr Modi, it may be recalled, is under Z plus category security.
