K'taka govt effects major reshuffle in IPS cadre

Bangalore, July 10 (UNI) Karnataka government today made a major reshuffle in the senior IPS cadre shifting 41 officers including Additional Director General of Police Intelligence Shankar Bidari who will now be the Bangalore Police Commissioner.

An official statement said tonight that present City Commissioner N Achutarao had been shifted as ADGP of Internal Security, a newly created post.

ADGP Prisons S T Ramesh has been transferred and posted as ADGP Crime and Technical Services in the existing vacancy and ADGP Administration Dharmapal Negi has been posted in his place.

Ms Sonia Narang, Davangere Superintendent of Police, has been transferred and posted as Belgaum SP in place of M Hemant Nimbalkar, while B Dayaanand, DIG Fire Services, Bangalore, has been transferred and posted as DIG and Commander of Anti Naxal Force at Karkala, the release said.
