Gawli files application in MCOCA to attend Assembly session

Mumbai, Jul 10 (UNI) The MCOCA court here is scheduled to hear tomorrow the application filed by gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli in an extortion and murder case.

Gawli today filed an application seeking permission to attend the Monsoon Session of the State Legislature, which commences from July 16.

Gawli is a member of the Legislative Assembly, having been elected from the Chinchpokli Assembly constituency as an Akhil Bhartiya Sena (ABS) candidate.

He was initially arrested in an extortion case by the Crime Branch sleuths and, later, booked under MCOCA in the Shiv Sena corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar murder case.

Gawli, at present, is in judicial custody.
