Fresh batch of pilgrims leaves for Amarnath Shrine
Jammu, Jul 10 (UNI) A fresh batch of 1,011 pilgrims today left for Amarnath cave shrine in the south Kashmir himalayas.
The pilgrims, including 269 women, 17 children and 93 sadhus, proceeded for lord shiva's shrine in caravan of 27 buses and eight LMVs, an official spokesman said.
The yatra convoy, which was escorted by the security personnel, left the base camp at bhagwati nagar here at 0515 hrs, the spokesman informed.
The two-month-long Amarnath pilgrimage had commenced from june 17.
