CESCOM AEE arrested on the charges of accepting bribe
Bangalore, Jul 10 (UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths arrested an CESCOM Assistant Executive Engineer, Madikeri today for accepting bribe for showing official favour.
A Lokayukta press release here, he said that B M Umesh demanded Rs 2,000 from Electrical Contractor S M Loka Prakash for giving new power connection to house of one Mr Sridhara Acharaya.
The Officer, who had already received Rs 1,000, demanded that he would give connection only after getting the remaining money.
Lokayukta sleuths laid a trap and Umesh was arrested while accepting the bribe.
