Bajaj Auto Q1 FY09 net dips 4.37% at Rs 175 cr
New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Bajaj Auto today said its net profit decreased 4.37 per cent in first quarter ended June 2008 at Rs 175 crore from Rs 183 crore during the same period last year.
However, its motorcycle sales increased 13 per cent as compared to 11 per cent industry growth, while its motorcycle exports zoomed 49 per cent and the overall exports witnessed 33 per cent growth, company said in a statement.
The company's turnover increased 9.24 per cent at Rs 2,340 crore in Q1 FY09 from Rs 2,142 crore during the last financial year.
