Akalis will stand by NDA on nuke deal: Badal

Ludhiana, Jul 10 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will oppose the UPA-government in Parliament on the nuclear deal.

''Our party's stand on this issue is crystal clear, SAD wil go with the NDA,'' Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal reiterated when asked to clarify his party's stand on this issue following statements by Akali leaders that they were not opposed to the nuke deal.

Mr Badal said the final decision would, however, be taken at the party's core committee meeting scheduled to be held on July 15 at Chandigarh.
