VVF buys Henkel's Poland plant, eyes EU mkt

New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) Eyeing a large market share in the European Union, VVF Ltd, the country's leading oleochemicals and personal care products producer, today said it has acquired Germany-based Henkel's soap manufacturing plant in Poland.

''With this acquisition, VVF will now have the capability of manufacturing products within the European Union which will enhance the company's plan to expand its reach and strengthen its current position,'' a statement said.

This is the company's first facility in Europe after recently establishing itself within the US market.

Over the next one and a half year, the company plans to invest on upgrading the plant to increase its capacity, the statement added.

VVF manufactures some of the most premium consumer goods brands for multinationals around the globe.
