Manmohan Singh to call on President tomorrow

New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to meet her tomorrow evening to discuss the developments in the wake of the withdrawal of support by the Left parties over the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Dr Singh is expected to call on the President at the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 1915 hrs, sources in the President's office said.

Earlier in the day, the Samajwadi Party handed over its letter of support for the UPA government to Ms Patil, shortly after the Left leaders met the President to formally communicate that they were no longer with the ruling Alliance.
