Lions Club proposes to open eye bank in Goa
Panaji, July 9 (UNI) The Lions Club International has proposed to open an eye bank in Goa soon.
Disclosing this to mediapersons here today, the district governor in charge of Goa and Karnataka Ularico J Rodrigues said the club was trying to take the assistance of a private corporate hospital for the eyebank.
This was following rejection of the proposal by the state-owned Goa Medical College and Hospital(GMCH), which said it was ''commercially unviable'' compared to the smaller population of Goa, he said.
