Ex-CMD of STC, conduit arrested for 1998 Aussie wheat import

New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) The CBI has arrested former State Trading Corporation CMD and the alleged conduit involved in the 1998 import of wheat from Australia by the STC, after raids were conducted at six of their places in Delhi and neighbouring Noida and Gurgaon.

Former STC CMD S M Dewan and the agent involved in the alleged irregularities of the import, H R Sardana, were arrested yesterday soon after the raids on their residential and office premises, the CBI said today.
